With a gasp and a frantic grab to his chest, a dark haired teenager awoke from his dreaming. Satisfied, he collapsed back into his bed. Bleary eyed, he slowly rolled over to rummage around looking for his alarm clock. Cursing the early hour, he turned on his computer.
Rubbing his eyes as the screen flared into life, he scanned through various messages and emails he had received. As screens loaded, he half-heartedly began to rifle through the mess surrounding his bed, eventually managing to extract a small book and with a heavy sigh, he began to flip through the pages.
Looking to the time again, he shrugged to himself and grabbed the mobile phone nearby. Flipping it open, he quickly dialled a number and pressed it to his ear as he continued to flick through the book. Write Comment (0 comments) |

A gentle breeze flows through the woods, my heart rate raising from the long walk. It has been a good hour today, walking through my woods away from the worries of school and the world, Here I am free.
Just a little further, I will be at the stream and I can enjoy a swim. No one ever comes here, this is my place, the music of the woods replacing the blaring radios, little woodland creatures running around in place of rambunctious children. Write Comment (0 comments) |

Deep within the bowels of the earth, thousands of chanting figures stand clustered within a massive cavern. Each focusing solely on the faintly glowing monolith standing at the center. Ten figures stand alone from the rest, their motions leading the rest.
Motes of pure white light dance around the air above, as they collide they streak down and through different figures tearing ghostly souls from their bodies. With each fallen, a swarming sphere of souls floating above grows brighter and larger. Hours pass, until finally none but the ten are left.
